What first brought you to the Yoga Shed, and how has your yoga practice grown or changed since you started coming?

I had taken yoga for many years and I was looking for something different in Florida as I had moved here recently. I chose the Yoga Shed because it felt welcoming and I was fascinated with the yoga wall they had. I had no idea how detailed each asana is in Iyengar Yoga and the use of props combined with Ella’s excellent teaching has made yoga a great way to heal the injuries I’ve had over the years.

How does practicing Yoga at the Yoga Shed support your life off the mat?

I feel like I am more active and engaged with activities that I like and enjoy such as gardening, kayaking, and traveling. I feel more relaxed and less stressed from practicing yoga. It helps with all aspects of my life.

Please share with us a favorite moment, an asana that you’ve managed to perform, or insight that you’ve gleaned from practice with us.

The head and shoulder stands are really exciting. I didn’t really think I could do these again but, with Ella’s help I was able to. I also love hanging from the Yoga Wall. It makes me feel youthful and young again!
